Mizoram's ridge-top capital, with hill viewpoints, a busy bazaar, churches and Mizo village culture.
FamousCityHill-stationVillageLake
Aizawl spreads along steep ridges and gives wide views from spots such as Durtlang Hills. It suits travellers who want a calm, church-centred hill city, Mizo crafts and food, and easy day trips to Reiek and Tam Dil lake. It is less built up for tourism than other hill towns, so it rewards an unhurried pace.
