A rain-soaked plateau town in the Khasi Hills, known for tall waterfalls, caves and living root bridges.
FamousWaterfallTrekVillageHill-station
Sohra sits on the edge of the Shillong Plateau, where cliffs drop toward the plains of Bangladesh and some of India's tallest falls pour off the edge. It suits walkers, families who want easy caves and viewpoints, and fit travellers ready for the long stair trek to the double decker root bridge.
