Day 1
- Rest after arrival and get used to the altitude.
- Visit Tabo Monastery and its temples.
- Look in at the Tabo Monastery Library.
- Walk up to the Tabo Caves before sunset.
- Watch the night sky from the village.
3 days in Tabo
A slow first day at the monastery and caves, a day trip to Dhankar and Pin Valley, and Gue and Nako on the way out.
Day 2
- Drive about 25 km to Dhankar Monastery.
- Walk up to Dhankar Lake and back.
- Continue into Pin Valley National Park if time allows.
- Return to Tabo by evening.
Day 3
- Leave Tabo towards Reckong Peo.
- Take the side road to see the Gue Mummy.
- Stop at Nako Village and Lake.
- Continue to Reckong Peo.
