- Early bus or taxi from Ranchi, arriving by early afternoon.
- Check in and walk the pine forest near the town.
- Drive out to Magnolia Point for sunset.
- Dinner where you are staying; nothing else stays open.

Arrive from Ranchi by afternoon for sunset at Magnolia Point, then a dawn start at Koel View and the falls on the second day.
Day 2
- Walk to Koel View Point for sunrise.
- Upper Ghaghri Falls in the morning.
- Lower Ghaghri Falls after lunch.
- Afternoon bus or taxi back to Ranchi, or continue north to Betla.
