Day 1
- Drive from Rishikesh via Rudraprayag and Ukhimath, 7 to 8 hours.
- Stop at Omkareshwar temple, Ukhimath, and withdraw cash if the ATM works.
- Check in at Sari village.
- Evening walk around Sari village and its terraced fields.
3 days in Sari and Deoria Tal
A village day, a walk up to the lake, and a day trip to Chopta for Tungnath and Chandrashila.
Day 2
- Start early and pay the forest checkpoint fee.
- Walk up to Deoria Tal, about 2.5 hours.
- Walk around the lake and have tea at the shops.
- If fit and with a guide, continue a little towards Rohini Bugyal.
- Return to Sari before dark.
Day 3
- Hire a taxi to Chopta early in the morning.
- Trek about 4 km to Tungnath temple.
- Climb the last 1.5 km to Chandrashila summit if weather allows.
- Return to Chopta and drive back to Sari or onward.
