Day 1
- Visit Taj-ul-Masajid in the old city in the morning.
- Spend the afternoon at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya on Shyamla Hills.
- End the day with a boat ride and sunset at the Upper Lake.
3 days in Bhopal and Sanchi
One day for Bhopal city, one for Sanchi and Udayagiri, and one for Bhojpur and Bhimbetka.
Day 2
- Leave Bhopal early for Sanchi, about 46 km away.
- Walk around the Sanchi Stupa complex and its gateways.
- See the Sanchi Archaeological Museum (closed on Fridays).
- Drive to the Udayagiri Caves, then return to Bhopal.
Day 3
- Drive to the Bhojpur Temple, about 28 km from Bhopal.
- Continue to the Bhimbetka Rock Shelters and walk the painted shelters.
- Return to Bhopal by evening.
