Day 1
- Arrive in Alappuzha and check in.
- Spend the late morning at Marari Beach.
- Visit the Revi Karunakaran Museum in town (closed Mondays).
- Climb Alappuzha Lighthouse between 3 pm and 5 pm.
- Walk the pier area and watch sunset at Alappuzha Beach.
3 days in Alleppey
A beach and town day, a full day on the backwaters, and a day of temples and a palace to the south.
Day 2
- Board a houseboat at noon, or take a shikara or canoe in the morning.
- Cruise Punnamada Lake and the Kuttanad canals.
- Stop at Champakulam and see St Mary's Forane Church.
- Have a Kerala lunch and dinner on board or back in town.
Day 3
- Go early to Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple, which closes at noon.
- Continue south to Krishnapuram Palace near Kayamkulam (closed Mondays).
- Return to Alappuzha, or leave from Kayamkulam.
